Tim Holtz Tissue Collaged pumpkin

 Happy Fall!

Today I'm sharing a really simple project - a collaged pumpkin.

Here is the supply list:  Tim Holtz Halloween collage paper, Sizzix 660955 die Tim Holtz fall foliage, Distress Ink Sprays, Dina Wakley gloss  in gold, wire, Stamper's Journey Bat die, Idea-ology Boneyard, Idea-ology skulls , Idea-ology Halloween Tokens 2, Idea-ology Tim Holtz trimmings Halloween,  Tim Holtz adornments Entomology, distress collage medium ,Distress ink Ground Espresso, washi tape, black ribbon, wire, green and black paint and a stick from your yard.

This was a pumpkin I purchased at Michael's.  It had some dings and dents so I got a mark down on it.  First I painted it black.  Then I cut the Tim Holtz Halloween Collage Paper into strips and squares.  The design of the tissue paper makes this easy. I applied the paper using distress collage medium.  I took extra care to make sure all of the corners were smoothed down. Once that was dry I painted the stem of the pumpkin green and allowed it to dry.

I have a bunch of papers that I had sprayed with Distress Ink sprays.  I don't remember the colors I used, but just have a play with what you have and you will be fine.  I find that spraying a bunch of papers ahead of time helps me prep when I am ready to die cut a lot of something. I used ground espresso distress ink to stencil the stems on the leaves and edge the leaves.   Once I had them die cut I did mist a couple with Dina Wakley gold gloss spray just to give them some shine.

I felt like my pumpkin's "indentions" were getting a little lost so I added some black ribbon by gluing  the cut pieces of the ribbon at the top and on the bottom.

Next I die cut 6 of the bats from three colors of paper, two of the bats are from scraps of the Tim Holtz Paper stash (discontinued) and the last one is from Tim's black cardstock.  I placed the wire between and then glued them together .

Once they dried then I wrapped the wires around the stem.  I covered the wires with some washi tape (any will do) and then I painted that green.

To finish the top of my pumpkin I glued the stick from the yard on top and then placed leaves around it until I was happy.  I used some mushroom alcohol ink to "age my bones" and tied them with the black cord from the Tim Holtz Halloween trimmings.  I placed those, the skull and the token into my arranged leaves.  I aged the bug from the Entomology adornments with mushroom alcohol ink and glued it to the side. Finally, I had some spiny pieces on some of the branches I picked up so I used those to add some further dimension.

I hope this provides you some inspiration and you find time to get ink on your fingers today.
